Boys' weekend

Today Mom headed to Tahoe before dawn for girls' weekend, and Dad and I got in the car later to head to Uncle Marc's in Sacramento. We are playing, and going to the park. It's so fun to have just boys' weekend! My tummy virus is better, and even though Mom still doesn't feel too good, she's getting better too.

Weekend: sick to better

I had my first real fever on Friday night. I cried a lot during the night. I'm really feeling better, though. Maybe because my aunt Lili gave me some ice cream yesterday! I agree with my mom that it makes everything better.

Today we're just doing stuff around the house. I helped my mom at Berkeley Bowl by holding onto this packet of miso soup. Dad Mom and I also went to Rick & Ann's for breakfast. I was a good boy.

TGIF

Whew! what a week. It's Friday at last... a rainy day. We need the rain bad, that's what Mom says. I was feeling cooped up but heading to Studio Grow today with Henry and Dawa. I listen so attentively during story time (or so Dawa says...) and love to clap during music hour.

I've been having lots of fun splashing in the bath. Mom and Dad get all wet!!!!

Exploring

I'm getting more and more curious about my surroundings. Everything is so interesting! I'm also crying hard-- and for a while, even after the incident has really passed-- when I don't get what I want. I am one willful dude.

back to normal

Uncle Ian headed back to NY yesterday and it's back to normal. Coen got sick last night so he's not at our house yet today. I was SUPER crazy and irritated last night! Think all the excitement of the weekend just wore me out... but then I slept very well and got a bit more rested.

I also would like to add "ba ba ba ba bababa ba ba.".

The beach, Chinese food... where to begin?!

So many exciting things took place today. Well, first we went to Ocean Beach. I had my first experience in the big sandbox where I had such wonderment at the sand sifting through my hands.... not solid.... not liquid! Then we played, we went for Chinese food in the Sunset, and came back home.

I broke some stuff and got sort of crazy from such a busy day. Then I went to bed.

Sunny day in the East Bay

Today we went to visit my old friend Riley and his family in Dublin. I had a lot of fun seeing everybody and enjoyed the sunshine. I especially enjoyed smiling at Andie! Uncle Ian came, too, while Dad did his assigned chores.

Tonight the adults are going out to dinner and Dawa is going to put me to bed. I don't know why my Mom seems so excited. I think Dad is looking forward to it, too.

"Uncle Ian"?.... sounds familiar.

First, I wanted to show off my new shoes. They taste so good.

Second, my uncle Ian flew into town yesterday. He made us a good dinner last night and we are going to have a lot of fun this weekend. I'm not sure if I remembered him or not, but I was friendly anyway.

The weather is great. I had cottage cheese!

Thirsty

This winter air is exacerbating my cold and also making me thirsty! The Pacifico box is still beyond my skill level, but not for long...in the meantime, it's a good height for me to climb on.

So I do still have a cold. Not much else to report. Mom fired up her bread maker again, and Dad got another book contract!

A little cold

I've still got a bit of a cold going on; I get super mad at my parents when they clean my nose off in the morning. SUPER mad. Today Dad took me to get a shot, but I was really brave. The weather has been beautiful and Dad and I also took a walk tonight.

Mom has been working a lot but we're going to hang out a lot this weekend.

Dad's back!

Mom and I both woke up feeling pretty yucky today. We had to cancel our afternoon plans at Tammy's house.

BUT we did still go to get Dad from the airport and then we had some brief fun in the Mission. We went to get Indian food and then went to Dolores Park. I was pretty exhausted by the end of the day and really think I'm getting a cold. My face was all chapped from snot and drool!

Climbin' fool

Today Mom and I had a lot of fun. We played a ton, and we also went to buy some new socks and groceries and listened to some disco music. I also have been clapping my hands, which Dawa and Henry taught me.

But the most fun was: I climbed 8 steps to mom and dad's office practically all by myself! All I want to do is climb and pull myself up, all day long. I crashed HARD at 6:30. My mom, she just got me all worn out!

Dad took off yesterday morning for New Orleans, and Mom and I are enjoying some quiet time at 662 66th Street, even though we miss the old man. Last night Mom made a huge mess getting rid of the christmas tree on her own, and forgot the base had water in it when she dragged it out of the house for recycling pick up! My mom, she sure is nuts sometimes.

Last night I had a tummy ache and was crying, but I think I'm feeling a little better now. Perhaps it was the beef stew with pasilla peppers in it that Mom gave me for dinner?

I'm at Henry's today and can't wait to see Mom tonight and have something fun and possibly risky for dinner. XO

The Warriors are still having a bad season

That's what my dad told me tonight and I'm super disappointed! Sargeant Mom allowed Dad and me to watched part of a game before bedtime and I stood up all by myself leaning against Dad's knee. Then Dad gave me a bath and put me to bed while Mom made a fancy dinner.

Dad is leaving tomorrow for Louisiana so Mom and I are going to be kicking it through the weekend. It's going to be awesome!

Ikea, and so much more

today we went for an early morning walk, very cold, because my mom is crazy! Later we went to Ikea to get me a new highchair (thanks to Katie's suggestion) and mom got me a cool new toy, too. I really enjoyed gnawing on my teething bar after dinner and am turning into a real ham for the camera.

Mellow Saturday

Today we were laazy. Mom did some cooking, Dad did some work, and we went on some errands. I think we were just knackered from so much activity lately. Mom was watching some pretty crappy tv shows!!

Yesterday I went to Henry's for awhile when Mom had lunch with her friends Chris and Farah.

I have been pulling myself up on things a lot, trying to stand. I really helped Dad in the kitchen today emptying the dishwasher.

New Year's Day

Today was a really exciting day. I woke up at 7 (11.5 hours of sleep!) and Mom worked out, then we all went on a family walk to Dad's office on campus to get his power cord, which turned out to actually be at home. While we were there, I played with lots of cool stuff in Dad's office, including a folder and a highly reflective trash can. I'm starting to make lots of baby talk noises.

Mom made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (which I was NOT allowed to have, but what Sergeant Mom says goes) and dinner for our friend Peri. I forgot to get a picture with her but I smiled at her a lot because she looked really pretty!
